Painless view into the intestines
The Computer Tomography view of the colon is aimed to diagnose a colon tumor at an early, or preliminary stage (polyp). Cancer of the colon is on 2.nd place of malicious illnes and its frequency is increasing.
Easy medical check up
The conventional method to screen the colon is an unpleasant and slightly painful examination. Therefore only few patients are willing to undergo the conventional preventive medical check up.
The Computer Tomography check up of the colon is painless and causes little distress to the patient. Prior to the screening it is necessary to undergo a cleaning of the intestines. Shortly before the screening we insert air into the intestines.
Gentle after care
After removal of polyps from the colon, control examinations every 2 years are recommended. These control examinations are carried out in the same way as the intial check up with the Computer Tomography.Screening of additional organs
With viewing the colon it is possible to screen other abdominal organs, such as the liver, spleen, kidneys and suprarenal glands. These are of course aseesed during the image analysis.
