
Interventional Radiology
Interventional radiology is a speciality which allows to establish the definitive diagnosis in some diseases by imaging guided biopsy and to treat various diseases with minimal invasive techniques – sometimes called keyhole surgery.
Non-vascular Interventions
- Recanalization of the naso-lacrimal duct in patients with epiphora
- Dilatation and stent placement in biliary duct obstruction
- Drainage of pathological fluid collecdtions and abscesses
- Sclerosing of cysts and pseudocysts
- Vertebroplasty (stabilization of osteoporotic and metastatic vertebrae with bone cement)
- Pain treatment (neurolysis, sympathicolysis))
- Sclerosing of osteoid osteomas
